In general..

The last week has been quite eventful.., The summer in Hyderabad has reached its peak..., but even then, we have had time to take off for a few quick outings.., Shopping.., as always., has been on our agenda.. :) Then, there also may be the green signal for my first clothing line to be out (fingers crossed even though it all is hush hush right now) .., the talks are on.. :).., So things have been going on briskly.., The IPL craze has also reached its peak., and I'm loving the competition this time around..The matches have never been this unpredictable.. And hey.., yeah.., I've started my very own "Food Blog".., so am kinda excited abt it.. you can visit it at http://www.snackandyum.blogspot.com, I also have plans to start a "Fashion Blog" in the near future.., as of now.., I'm gorging on the mangoes.., having fun with my cousins.., booing the rival IPL teams and planning more shopping.. The coming month would be one hectic one.., My in-laws are scheduled to leave to SFO to be with the side of my SIL who is expecting her second child.., So there is going to be a whole lot more shopping and chaos., will write in all about it.., sometime later..,

Today even as I write.., I just wish that Chinnaana was here with all of us.., It has been 5 years since you left us and life has never been the same. We all miss you terribly and we always will even as we know that you are still amongst us.., watching over all of us.. You will remain in our hearts forever...

With lots of love..,
To Chinnaana...

The Woodpecker songgg...

He's up each morning bright and early
To wake up all the neighborhood
To bring to ev'ry boy and girlie
His happy serenade on wood.

Hear him pickin' out a melody
Peck, peck, peckin' at the same old tree.
He's as happy as a bumble bee
All day long.

To serenade your lady
Just find a tree that's shady
And when you hear that
tick-a-tick-tick, tick-a-tick-tick
Sing right along.

Come on and try his rhythm
And let your hearts beat with 'im
Just listen to that
tick-a-tick-tick, tick-a-tick-tick
Happy little Woodpecker Song.

Very touching..,

It was a Sports Stadium.

Eight Children were standing on the track to participate in a running event.

* Ready! * Steady! * Bang !!!

With the sound of Toy pistol,

All eight girls started running.

Hardly had they covered ten to fifteen steps,

when one of the smaller girls slipped and fell down,

Due to bruises and pain she started crying.

When the other seven girls heard the little girl cry they stopped running, stood for a while and turned back.

Seeing the girl on the track they all ran to help.

One among them bent down, picked her up and kissed her gently

And enquired as to how she was..

They then lifted the fallen girl pacifying her.

Two of them held her firmly while all seven joined hands together and walked together towards the winning post........ .

There was pin drop silence at the spectator's stand.

Officials were shocked.

Slow claps multiplied to thousands as the spectators stood up in appreciation.

Many eyes were filled with tears

And perhaps even God's!

YES.!! This happened in Hyderabad [INDIA], recently!

The sport was conducted by
National Institute of Mental Health.

All these special girls had come to participate in this event

They were spastic children.

Yes, they were Mentally Challenged.

What did they teach the WORLD.?

Teamwork.?

Humanity.?

Equality among all.??

Successful people help others who are
slow in learning

So that they are not left far behind.

BLANK!!!

Yeah.., its one of those days when you are absolutely blank..., No thoughts, no actions, no work..., nothing!!! But then, you realize there are so many other things going on (YEAH!!) Well the fact that it is Saturday today may have something to do with this "Blank" feeling..., or maybe my husband is working on a off has to do something with it..., Hmmm so you wake up at 5.., are done with all the chores, are ready, and are stuffed by 7 in the morning..., with the whole day to go..., Hmmm.., So I watch a few old DVD's ( somehow watching my favorite childhood films always cheers me up ..., but.., nahhh.., it didn't happen this time around)..., but even The Sound Of Music and The Wizard Of Oz couldn't let me drift off the "Blank" feeling..., saw TV for sometime.., but television nowadays has become drab..., I want to strangle all those Bahu's who oodophy their ghoonghats and do nothing but cry..., No wonder the Indian society is male dominated... One tight slap is what they deserve.., for being such jackasses..., so TV is stroked out.... and I haven't bought ant new books of late so...., I didn't want to sleep (not in the afternoon.., NO Way..., All those health conscious people better know that sleeping mid-day makes you fat and YEAH!!! its proven.. so stay away for the afternoon siesta.....)..., so I thought.., and thought and thought about what exactly I was upto..., then I realized.., it has been so awfully long since I played my keyboard :)...and I knew exactly what I would be doing the rest of the day.... :)

Stop Plagiarism!!!

Don't people have own ideas??? Why do they copy others??? It is soo unethical and uncool.. I was shocked to see that someone actually flicked not one.., but sooo many ideas of mine.., Can't they use their own brains an come with with something original???? Yuck plagiarism sucks... Lets stop it..

Home they brought her warrior dead...

I love this poem.., I think it was Class 4 English that we read this.., Ohh this is such a masterpiece... I love Alfred Tennyson's works.., and this is one of his finest...

Home they brought her warrior dead:
She nor swooned, nor uttered cry:
All her maidens, watching, said,
‘She must weep or she will die.’

Then they praised him, soft and low,
Called him worthy to be loved,
Truest friend and noblest foe;
Yet she neither spoke nor moved.

Stole a maiden from her place,
Lightly to the warrior stepped,
Took the face-cloth from the face;
Yet she neither moved nor wept.

Rose a nurse of ninety years,
Set his child upon her knee
Like summer tempest came her tears
‘Sweet my child, I live for thee.’

By Alfred Lord Tennyson

Love and Life

My husband is S/W Engineer by profession, I love him for his steady
nature and I love the warm feeling when I lean against his broad shoulders.

5+ years of courtship and now, four years into marriage,
I would have to admit, that I am getting tired of it.
The reasons of me loving him before, has now transformed into the cause of all my restlessness.

I am a sentimental woman and extremely sensitive when it comes to a relationship and my feelings.
I yearn for the romantic moments, like a little girl yearning for candy.
My husband is my complete opposite; his lack of sensitivity,
and the inability of bringing romantic moments into our marriage has disheartened me about LOVE.

One day, I finally decided to tell him my decision,
that I wanted a divorce.

"Why?" he asked, shocked.

"I am tired. There are no reasons for everything in the world!" I answered.

He kept silent the whole night, seemingly in deep thought.
My feeling of disappointment only increased.
Here was a man who was not able to even express his predicament,
so what else could I expect from him?

A nd finally he asked me: "What can I do to change your mind?"

Somebody said it right... It's hard to change a person's personality,
and I guess, I have started losing faith in him.

Looking deep into his eyes I slowly answered: "Here is the question.
If you can answer and convince my heart, I will change my mind.

Let's say, I want a flower located on the face of a mountain cliff,
and we both are sure that picking the flower will cause your death. Will you do it for me?"

He said: "I will give you your answer tomorrow....
" My hopes just sank by listening to his response.

I woke up the next morning to find him gone,
and saw a piece of paper with his scratchy handwriting underneath a milk glass,
on the dining table near the front door, that goes....

My dear, "I would not pick that flower for you,
but....please allow me to explain the reasons further.....

This first line was already breaking my heart. I continued reading.

" When you use the computer you always mess up the Software programs,
and you cry in front of the screen.
I have to save my fingers so that I can help to restore the programs.

You always leave the house keys behind,
thus I have to save my legs to rush home to open the door for you.

You love traveling but always lose your way in a new city.
I have to save my eyes to show you the way.

You always have the cramps whenever your "good friend" approaches every month.
I have to save my palms so that I can calm the cramps in your tummy.

You like to stay indoors, and I worry that you will be infected by infantile autism.
I have to save my mouth to tell you jokes and stories to cure your boredom.

Y ou always stare at the computer, and that will do nothing good for your eyes.
I have to save my eyes so that when we grow old,
I can help to clip your nails and help to remove those annoying white hairs.
So I can also hold your hand while strolling down the beach,
as you enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful sand...
and tell you the colour of flowers,
just like the colour of the glow on your young face...

Thus, my dear, unless I am sure that there is someone who loves you more than
I do... I could not pick that flower yet, and die ... "

My tears fell on the letter, and blurred the ink of his handwriting. ..
And as I continue on reading... "Now, that you have finished reading my answer,
and if you are satisfied, please open the front door for
I am standing outside bringing your favorite bread and fresh milk...

I rushed to pull open the door, and saw his anxious face,
clutching tightly with his hands, the milk bottle and loaf of bread....
Now I am very sure that no one will ever love me as much as he
does, and I have decided to leave the flower alone...

That's LIFE, and LOVE. When one is surrounded by love, the feeling of excitement fades away,
and one tends to ignore the true love that lies in between the peace and dullness.

Love shows up in all forms; even in very small and cheeky forms.
It has never been a model. It could be the dullest and most boring form ...

Flowers, and romantic moments are only used and appear on the surface of the relationship.
Under all this, the pillar of true love stands... AND THAT'S LIFE....

Teen Haule...(3 idiots).., apne Hyderabadi ishtyle me..

1 Farhan Qureshi bolke haula rehta,
1 Raju Rastogi bolke haula rehta aur
1 Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad bolke sabse bada haula rehta.
Teeno engineering karte rehte Deccan College se, ab Deccan bole toh samajh jao kitta padte so.

Rancho k bawa MIM k MLA rehte toh une full paise wala rehta.
Farhan k bawa Yaqutpura State Bank mein kaam karte toh unu thode bhot middle class rehte.
Raju k bawa mazoor rehte aur amma teacher rehte, toh wo loga aakhri faqeera rehte.
Asal Raju k bawa shuru se mazoor nai the. Uno masjid k saamne baithke “Mazoor hoon baba, beti ki shadi karna hai, bete ku padana hai” bolke paise kamate the. 1 din 1 chaush namaz ku aaya tha, une chhupke dekha ine sahi mazoor hai kya bolke, toh poore loga gaye baad inke bawa hallu uthke naach letewe jaare the toh chaush ki phir gayi toh maar maarke sahi ka mazoor kar diya.

Beherhaal, admissions hogaye baad teeno Voulga Café pe milte ittefaq se, ittefaq kya bole toh teeno b chhota goldflake maarte rehte. Udhar se hojati teeno ki dosti. Dosti hogaye k baad mein exama aajate, ab engineering mein rahe toh aisich har thode din ku exama rehte. Toh exama aaye toh full padte padte pagal hojate. Dekhe toh Raju aur Farhan last aate, Rancho 1st aata. Kaisa aaya bole toh une bolta “Kaamyab hone k waaste nakko pado, qaabil hone k waaste pado” Wo baad mein malum hota Farhan aur Raju ku k une attender ku 10 rupaye deke paper nikalwaya tha.

Un logo ka principal rehta Dr. M. A. Malik bolke,
magar uske red color k baala rehte toh sab usku LBW bolte (laal balo wala) Toh 1 din Raju, Farhan aur Rancho Madina pe baithke biryani kheechte rehte, udhar LBW parcel lene aata, toh ye loga waiter ku amma bhen karte rehte, wo dekhke in logo k surata yaad rakh leta.
Viva k time pe badla nikalna hai bolke decide kar leta. Ab LBW ka lab hai so din ye loga jaate suba, jaake experiment kuch b nai aata, toh BKBB* (Barkath** k bade bhai) ku bole toh unu andar se purani record laake dete. Wo dekh k jaldi likh lete. Ab viva ki baari aate ki phat jati in logo ki, une andar bulaake wo sawala poochta, in logo k phepde tilli gurda upar niche hojata. 1 jawab b nai diye so dekh k une BKBB ku balata, bulake bolta “Ye 3 haule gaye baad next group ku bhejo.”

Ab ghusse mein LBW kya karta, results type karke upar likh deta k “No changes will be entertained” aur 3 haulo ku fail kar deta.

Phir ye teeno haule hallu hallu papera clear karte karte, chittiya maar maarke final exams tak pohunch jaate. Aakhri 1 project rehta, wo project hua baad jobs mela rehta college mein.

Raju phir b 1 baar ku job karna chahta magar Farhan jo hai fotographer banna chahta, poore dosto k bhanje bhanjiyo k haqiqe mein inech leta fotua aur taraqqi karke shadiyo k aur valimo k lena chahta magar unke bawa nakko bolte. Phir Rancho samjhaya toh unke bawa b lite lelete, aur Farhan fotographer ban jaata. Raju Dell ka interview deta, usku b job mil jata. Rancho job nai dekhta, kaiku ki kya nai ki!

Ab masla ye hai ki wo project pass karna nai karna LBW k haath mein hai. Une b aisa bada haramka rehta, pass ich nai karta, tanga deta teeno haulo ku. Toh 1 waqt kya hota bole toh, LBW chetak pe jaate rehta, utte mein baarish full shuru hojaati, une jaldi ghar ku pohunch jaayinge sochta magar 1 manhole ka dhakkan khulla rehta usme iski gaadi phas jaati. Ab paani kammar tak aajata aur une gaadi rakh deke chalna shuru karta. Utte mein 1 ghar k saamne se jaate rehta, chhat pe se Rancho rassi phek k bolta k upar aajao, ine nakko bole toh b zabardasti karta toh ine chad jata rassi pe. Ab engineering ka dimagh lagane jaake sochta k pendulum motion mein hilaake upar kheechinge bolke hilaate ki rassi tootke seedha manhole k andar gir jaata une, aur behte behte ghar k paas k manhole mein se nikalta bahar. Haalaake Raju aur Farhan b the udhar, un loga bole nakko lagale bolke, magar suna nai- main pehleich bola sabse bada haula ineich rehta bolke.

Beherhaal, ye hone k baad LBW Raju aur Farhan ku bolta k agar un dono Rancho ka naam project mein se nikal diye toh pass kar detou, toh un loga usku baghair bole k naam nikal dete, aur paas hoke apna apna job shuru kar dete.

Rancho ku engineering complete karne aur 2 saal lagte, aisa atkaake rakh deta LBW usku. Wo hogaya baad Rancho woich karta jo Deccan college k sabse haule students karte- Deccan college mein lecturer ka job!!!

Aaaaalll izzz wellll!!!! :D :D :D LMAO hehe.... :) :)

The Charminar...

I have been doing a lot of clicking stuff of late.., The effects of a new cam I guess.. :) but I have been enjoying it a lot nevertheless.., There have been random clicks, selected clicks, group clicks, posed clicks and so many more.., I realized that there is sooo much more to Naa City (my city) Hyderabad, that I decided to bring out the besttttttttttttt out of it.., So you would be seeing a lot (read LOT!!! ) of Hyderabad in the near future...,

I start of with The Charminar, the best architectural structure in Hyderabad (according to me).., I love the place, the energy surrounding it, the people, the effects, the.... i guess everything.. haan parking was another issue.., but still I love visiting the Charminar...., I also shopped a bit.., and finally found the square metal bangles that I was looking for..

Pongal@Ammamma's house...

The one above is taken last Pongal...

The rain played spoil sport on the day.., but can't complain.., as this year I missed out on putting the traditional muggu/kolam (I've a fracture on my hand).., but still Pongal is a mast time to celebrate and this year it was no different..., Nuvvula Laddu (Til Laddu), Ariselu, Pappu Chakkalu, Palli laddu (peanut laddu), Chalividi, Murukulu, etc were the pindi vantalu that were prepared at home..., yummm (I got them all packed for me ;) ).., I clicked a few snaps of the muggu's..

The week that was...

Hmmmmmmm...., Some news here.., naaa not what you are thinking... I broke my hand.... :(..., yeah a stupid rock climbing effort that went wrong.., and swooooooosh broke my hand.., and I didn't even realize it till it became black and blue...... Yeoooooooowwwwwww.., btw.., all this happened way back.., ( I feel so).. hmmm 3rd Jan precisely... a POP bandage (plaster of Paris for those who don't understand medical terms) and a two month long rest was advised..., and as suggested I was off work/kitchen/cleaning/gym/net/hmmmm everything else that I do on a day to day basis...All I did was to lie on the couch for the whole day and watch TV.., or read books or gupshup with my Hubby.., The darling he is, he took a break from work to be with me.., did all the routine household work, brought in my meals to the couch/bed, gave me all my tablets on time and bought me a hoard of books..., The sweetepie.... It is such a wonderful feeling to have someone who actually empathizes with you rather than sympathize... I could actually see that he felt my pain..., Awwwwwwwh my hubby bestest/smartest/sweetest/cutest/strongest/and all the adjectives in world... muahhh..

P.S. The swelling my my hand hasn't reduced much.., but the pain is a bit bearable nowadays..
